Designed for moving fixed width loads (length can vary) and allow for quicker setup as compare to the Air Caster Load Module system. Typical applications include
moving sensitive electronic machinery and telephone switchgear during the manufacturing process. The application shown on the right was used to transport a jet wing
with specially designed fixture into and out of a multi-axis machine for disassembly and repair. Each plank includes two or three Air Casters that are plumbed
internally. This reduces the total number of hoses required for operation typically to one main air supply hose and only one interconnecting hose. In some cases we
will use three or four planks in series depending upon the overall capacity and structure support required. A standard two plank system with either two or three Air
Casters per plank includes the following:
One each Main Air Supply Hose with quick disconnects that normally ranges in length from 50 to 125 feet depending upon the distance to be moved and the location of air drops.
Two each Air Caster Planks with either flow control valves to compensate for off-centered loading or individual pressure regulation of each Air Caster as shown in the photo to the left.
One each On/Off Ball Valve that can be mounted at the plank air inlet or on the main air supply hose depending on operator convenience.
One each 10 foot long Interconnecting Hose or longer depending on the length of the machine to be moved. Quick disconnects are mounted on both hose ends for easy and quick connection to the planks.
Options include mounting either bolted or welded customer specified fixtures as shown to the right, top or side mounted manifolds, hose reel, U-shaped handles with dead man control and no-load wheels.
